1. Location (“locate me”)

The Map has an optional button that centres the view on your position. Your browser only shares your location after you tap it and grant permission. That location is used in your browser to move the map — it is not sent to us and not stored. You can decline, or revoke the permission in your browser settings, at any time.

2. Offline map cache

If you use “Save area offline”, the Map stores map tiles and place data in your browser’s cache on your own device so it works without signal. This data stays on your device; you can remove it any time by clearing the site’s data / cache in your browser.

3. Server logs

Like any website, our hosting and content-delivery provider (Cloudflare) and our data API automatically record standard technical request information — such as your IP address, browser/user-agent, and the pages or data requested. We use this only to operate, secure and troubleshoot the service. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.

4. Cookies & tracking

The Map does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not embed third-party trackers. Any storage it uses is the on-device offline cache described above, which is functional rather than tracking.

5. Third-party services the Map contacts

To display the map, the Map loads content from third parties, which will see your IP address as part of serving that content:

• Satellite imagery and map tiles from Esri (server.arcgisonline.com).
• Place data and photos from the BZNomad API (api.bznomad.com).

6. Outbound links

When you follow an outbound link (for example driving directions, Wikipedia, or a site’s own website), you leave the Map and that third party’s own privacy policy applies.

7. Your choices

• Decline or revoke the location permission in your browser.
• Clear the offline cache by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
• Use the Map without providing any personal information — no sign-up is required.

8. BZNomad’s other services

Creating an account and booking a trip through bznomad.com — outside the Map — is covered by BZNomad’s main Privacy Policy at bznomad.com/legal/privacy, which explains how guest photos and trip material are shared and how privacy within a travel group is handled. The Map itself does not collect accounts, photos or trip material; see the sections above for what it actually does.

9. Children

The Map is a general-audience information service and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above will change when we do.
